The moment you enter Noaa, you cannot help noticing its quirky decor, from chairs to walls, everything draws your attention almost instantly. Situated in the YU Hotel, Candolim, Noaa opened its doors just a few months back and has brought in a great fusion of Pan Asian cuisine with some local Goan flavours.
The India Nightlife Convention and Awards (INCA) in association with Heineken, hosted #TheSisterhoodSoiree – an initiative to recognize and encourage women in the nightlife and hospitality industry at Saligao Stories & Soro – The Village Pub, Goa. I felt extremely privileged to be a part of this initiative and so glad it came to Goa.
Breakfast indeed is the most important meal of the day, but somehow I have never been a breakfast person. The only time I enjoy breakfast is when I am travelling because the buffet spreads at hotels is something I love and thus when I was invited to indulge in a zesty morning by ITC Grand Goa, I simply could not refuse. Waking up early, travelling a distance of 1 hour and the anticipation of an elaborate spread made me hungry enough to enjoy the breakfast even before I reached ITC.
Sol de Goa has been a place that I have frequented quite often. From heading there for a mini staycation to many fine dining experiences and evenings of immersive music on Solday Thursdays, it has never failed to impress me with its impeccable hospitality and amazing food. So when this awesome hotel celebrated its 10th anniversary, I just had to be there.
India is a country that offers diversity in almost everything and I feel that after language, food is one of the most important elements that showcase this diversity in cultures. For me a regional cuisine thali is a perfect platform to bring that diversity on a plate, most of the times we see a thali that represents the best of that particular region, sometimes thalis are extravagant and showcase two or more regions together. One such conceptual thali is the Maharaja Thali at Rasoda.
Being from a Punjabi family who has lived for most years in Delhi, we always celebrated Lohri with a lot of pomp and show. The bonfire, dhol and some particular food dishes have always been significant to the festival. Now living in Goa, we didn’t know what to expect, whether anyone celebrates the festival or not was a big question.
