There’s so much Goan food we don’t see on menus anymore… but why?
In this episode of Tête-à-Tea, we talk about underrated Goan dishes that are slowly disappearing from everyday conversations, even though they’ve been a big part of home cooking.
From seasonal recipes to community-specific dishes, this isn’t about what’s popular… it’s about what we’ve quietly stopped noticing.

If you’ve grown up in Goa, some of this might feel familiar.
If you’re visiting, this might completely change how you see Goan food.

💬 Which Goan dish do you think deserves more attention?

This is not a podcast, it's a light, healthy yet knowledgeable conversation between my curious soul and Odette who is the epitome of knowledge when it comes to Goan culinary heritage.

I didn’t expect to find an Italian experience like this in Goa… 🇮🇹
From truffle-loaded bites to classic tiramisu, this place feels more like Amalfi Coast than India.
We tried everything from Soul of the Coast and Great Lemon drinks to Truffle Bombolini, creamy pastas, Margherita pizza, and ended on a perfect note with tiramisu and Dolce Arte.
What stood out wasn’t just the food, but the detailing… from the space to the menu, even the stories behind the characters on the walls.
If you’re in Goa and looking for something different, this one’s definitely worth trying.

Spent Mother’s Day at The Westin Goa, and it turned out to be such a warm and thoughtful experience.
What made it special was how the brunch celebrated mothers through food, with chefs showcasing recipes inspired by their own mothers across the live counters.
From Indian and Asian to continental favourites, the spread had something for everyone.
Add live music, a lovely atmosphere and personalised photo magnets to take back home, and it became the perfect way to spend the afternoon.

There was a time when ingredients like kanji (pez), local mango varieties, and so many simple, everyday foods were a natural part of Goan kitchens.
Somewhere along the way, we stopped noticing them.
In this episode of Tête-à-Tea with Odette, we sit down and talk about the ingredients we grew up with, the ones that quietly disappeared, and why they mattered more than we realised.
This isn’t just about food.
It’s about memory, culture, and everything that gets left behind without us even noticing.

I walked into Greenr thinking this would be one of those “healthy but not really satisfying” meals.
But somewhere between the nachos, the sushi, and just sitting in that space… it didn’t feel like I was giving anything up.
This isn’t a typical review.
Just a quiet experience of trying something different.
