How To Completely Change Your Look In 4 Steps

Whilst the thought of improving your appearance drastically always sounds like a pipe dream, that’s just the negative voice in your head getting you down. We’re programmed to criticize ourselves; don’t ask me why, but it’s the way things are. Still, you don’t need to put up with that. You don’t need to look in the mirror and sigh as you dream of the way in which you wish you’d look.

Healthiness and happiness should be the motivator to change your appearance and your life in general, so you need to push away vain thoughts. Wanting to look good for shallow reasons is never a good motivator because the negative voice in your head will always find something to say to put you down. You need to change your look for you, and it needs to be for the right reasons. Here are 4 steps to get you on the right track.

Your body.

Your body is probably your worst enemy, as it is for most women. Our heads are filled with so many conflicting ideas as to what constitutes the perfect body. Some people say we should be as skinny as a rake, but other people say we should have voluptuous curves. It’s an absolute headache, and it’s all rubbish.

You don’t “have to” look any particular way when it comes to your body other than the way you want to look. In fact, to be more exact, you should look the way that makes you feel comfortable. Don’t starve yourself, and don’t over-eat. A healthy body should be your priority because there is no ideal size. If you eat a consistent diet and keep active on a daily basis then you’re doing everything right.

Your face.

Another aspect of your appearance that you want to keep healthy in a practical sense as well as in terms of its appearance on the surface is your face. Frequent moisturizing is crucial to avoid dry, cracked skin, and a clean face is absolutely essential when it comes to avoiding acne and other blemishes. There’s nothing wrong with a little make-up, of course, but try not to let your face become too oily during the day.

Mental health also affects appearance, so through practicing positive thoughts about your appearance you’ll reduce your stress and, in turn, your acne; it’s a positive cycle. You should also be looking after your dental health; your teeth shouldn’t just look white but actually be healthy. Look after your gums, in particular, by flossing and ensure that you brush your teeth two or perhaps even three times a day.

Your fashion.

Ah, fashion. It’s a love-hate relationship. We love pretty clothes, but we hate it when they don’t fit us or we think they don’t look quite right on us. If you’re lacking in confidence with regards to the fashion department then you could go on a shopping spree with your pals so as to have a team of advisors on what looks good or bad. You could also browse through online sites offering sleek and modern dresses for women because you might be selling yourself a bit short with your current wardrobe.

Again, don’t put yourself down; a good fashion sense isn’t some elusive concept that you can’t quite grasp. What’s most likely is that you never had the confidence to wear the pretty dresses or outfits you saw in shops or on other people; you need to rid yourself of these doubts and take a risk. Self-esteem is absolutely the key to changing your overall appearance, as we’ll discuss in the final step…

Your confidence.

This is the final step to looking good. Whether you want to try parting your hair on the other side or completely changing the color of your hair altogether, everything will come together if you just work it. People pick up on positive energy and confidence. You look more attractive when you feel more attractive, so you should be making yourself look the way you want to look; that way, you’ll be happier about your appearance, and this will make you look more attractive to others.

Designer Ridhima Bhasin opens her flagship store in South Extension!

Ridhima Bhasin recently hosted the launch of her maiden flagship store at South Extension part one. Bustling with fashion enthusiasts, her spring summer collection was received with a lot of awe. Inspired by iconic shapes of Moroccan architecture, the majestic inverted domes, slender minarets, intricate and spell binding jali windows and moorish lamps. the word Lucidus invokes a feeling of light, brightness and clarity that reflects in the ensemble. The collection encapsulates this feeling and mood well with beautiful circular skirts, slender pants, sheer blouses in ivory, apricot, sage green and vanilla hues.

Delicate thread embroideries with hand crafted tassels and hints of silver and moonlit embellishments amalgamate to create this spring summer collection.

The designs strike the right balance between contemporary and conservative with focus on magical cuts and flattering silhouettes.

Ridhima Bhasin is a young and talented fashion designer best known for her contemporary styling of Indian dresses. Ridhima Bhasin was born and bought up in Delhi, absorbing the diverse art culture, architecture and heritage only to find her falling for fashion designing every single day. She further got inspired by her sister Ritika Bhasin, who owns her very own fashion label. Being a part of her sister’s workshop, understanding fabrics and embellishments finally made her decide she had to pursue fashion as a career. Ridhima attended the London College of Fashion and got specialized with all the technical skills while studying Design and Merchandising there. After her graduation in the summer of 2010 she got back to India and started assisting her sister, Ritika Bhasin’s label. She got a chance to enhance her skills, work ethics and designing skills for 3 years. Finally In 2014, with her passion to bring her contemporary chic designs to the Indian market, she introduced her label ‘Ridhima Bhasin’.

Many bollywood celebrities adorn her designer wear and her collection is also available in international markets like Dubai, Indonesia, London and New York, making her one of the youngest Indian Fashion Designer to be successfully retailing her designer wear worldwide.

For me it was a pleasure meeting her personally and checking her collection out.

Jabong.com changes my opinion of online shopping

Jabong.com changes my opinion of online shopping

Jabong.com changed my opinion of buying clothes online. Online shopping today is as common as shopping on ground, and it’s primarily due to the lack of time in everyone’s life. I am no different, juggling between work and family life, sometimes online shopping seems like a convenient option and since a couple of years I have been regularly making use of online shopping especially to buy random articles, groceries, house-hold items, electronics etc. but I have never been comfortable buying clothes and shoes online.

Both these things mean comfort and comfort is something I cannot reassure myself by just looking at it. I always got attracted with the numerous designs and styles available online, especially in terms of dresses, but the urge to touch and feel always ended up acting as a resistance in buying the same, also I felt that buying clothes online was much more hassled than other things, as it usually takes a long time to deliver, whereas when you seeing clothes, you really wanna get them as soon as possible, and the possibility of size going wrong is also high, but this time, Jabong.com, beat me there.  There was this particular dress that I saw on Jabong.com’s site and I had an instant liking to it. It was a perfect summer things, cool colors and yet a very party like appeal, the material was silk. To me it seemed like a perfect weekend night-out wear. As usual I started contemplating the decision to buy, but this time the urge to buy was more, and my hands just moved towards the add to cart button, and following simple steps my order was placed.

I was surprised with the ease of placing order on the site and also the swiftness of confirmation mail and message reaching my inbox, but the bigger surprise came when my dress was delivered in just 2 days, much before the expected date of delivery.

My dress was very cutely packed and fitted me perfectly when I tried it. The material, the look and feel was as similar as it appeared on the site and absolutely correct as per the description. I could not wait for the weekend to wear my dress and head out to party.

I am really impressed with the speed, the quality and variety of designs and styles on jabong.com and it has definitely helped me overcome my inhibitions, so think no more, go shopping at Jabong.com.

Common mistakes that women make with regards to their skin and what they should do to keep skin issues at bay, by Dr. Chiranjiv Chhabra, Skin Alive Clinic.

Women leave no stone unturned to make sure they look fabulous with a glowing or flawless skin. While they do not mind spending their fortune in buying expensive products for skin care, there are few common mistakes that women make that prevents from attaining the perfect look. Below are some of the common mistakes and their solutions to keep issues at bay as suggested by Dr. Chiranjiv Chhabra

With regards to tanning: tanning is common, especially during summers. It is quite bothering too. Thus, in order to get rid of it, women usually go to the parlor, where they use bleach to remove tanning. However, bleaching does more harm than good. Bleach contains strong chemicals that damage the skin. Hence, bleaching is strictly not advisable to address the issue of tanning
With regard to sun block: women show a lot of negligence when it comes to sun block. While many do not make it an unfailed routine to apply sun block while stepping out in sun, many do not choose the right product for them. While selecting a sun block, more than the brand, SPF should be taken care of depending upon the time one spends in sun. Secondly, sun block should necessarily be applied after every 2 hours, post cleaning the face properly.
With respect to products: Most of the women do not bother to change their products with the change in the season. They tend to buy expensive products in a season and then reluctant keep change it with the season. However, this is a major skin care, as our skin requirements change with the change in season and weather. The products of one season could be kept in the refrigerator for next time use.
With regards to dermatologist: Women often do not care to visit to dermatologist when it comes to common skin issues. Instead, they prefer to go to the salon to find a solution. However, it is essential to visit a dermatologist even in case of minor skin issues, as they would be able to give a core and medical solution to the problem.
With regards to new technology: Although women are regular with their salon routines, they are often unaware of the new technology. There are many new technologies and medical facials that are very gentle to the skin. They have also proved to give good results in addressing the issue of sunspots and pigmentations.
