Shahrukh Khan Launches The Raees Trailer With UFO Moviez Across 10 Cities Simultaneously..!!

Digital Era saw yet another path breaking initiativeby UFO Moviez. The world’s first-ever Big Screen trailer launch of movie ‘Raees’ on 7th December 2016 mesmerized audiences in 10 theatres across Mumbai, Delhi, Indore, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Surat and Moga, thanks to UFO Moviez’slatest initiative ‘Curtain Raiser’.Curtain Raiser enabled King Khan to launch the much-awaited Raees Trailer simultaneously in the theatres and gave him an opportunity to interact live with audience on Big Screen. The remarkable affair began mid-morning with a brief introduction of UFO Moviez, the initiative and release of thrilling trailer of “Raees”. The Baadshah of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan, stationed at UFO Moviez’s central studio, interacted with the audiences for an hour, with fans fervently asking for more. The audience sitting in theatres in the selected 10 cities could see and interact with the actor himself. The staggering enormity of the initiative truly came across when viewers at one location could hear those at another, while they interacted with Mr Khan.

With King Khan live on screen in virtually every big city, all eyes were locked on the event. With this phenomenal event, UFO Moviez has ignited a spark that will provoke a revolution in the digital wave of Indian cinema. The name of the theatres participated for the interactive session are Mumbai – Gold Cinemas (Milan Mall), Moga (Punjab) – Neelam Nova Cinemaz, Jaipur – Golcha Cinema (Nile), Kolkata – Menoka Cinema,Delhi – Delite Theatre, Indore – Madhu Milan Cinema, Hyderabad– VenkatramanaMegaplexAhmedabad – City Gold Ashram Road, Bengaluru – Q Cinemas, and Surat – DR World (INOX).

A first of its kind, the launch really garnered great excitement. I was one of the lucky few to experience it first hand at the Delite Cinema, Delhi.

The media was there in full strength and one could feel the underlying excitement of the Launch.
There was a continuous chorus of Shahrukh, Shahrukh very spontaneously orchestrated by DJ Raunaq of 93.5 FM, radio partners of Raees. Huge cheers went up as the screen showed up the launch of the trailer.
If the trailer is anything to go by and the sheer vociferous welcome and applaud by the audiences the movie has certainly risen the expectations from this King Khan starrer.


As Shahrukh appeared live on the screen for interaction,the crowd frenzy was something to see. As always Shahrukh was at his wittiest best and interacted with the audience as only he can do. Answering each question in his own inimitable way Shahrukh won the hearts of everyone. His charisma remains unbeaten and no one can come even closer to the aura and magic that he creates with people.

The makers released the first look of the sequel of the film which is slated to hit the box office in April 2017. Hell O Hello.. Waiting Eagerly for this Short Film

Short films have their own charm, I have always felt that these films focus more on the content and messaging rather than the star powers. I find them to be more real and closer to life than the larger than life imagery created by most main stream films. But to conclude, both have their own respective place in the industry. An another interesting short film will be coming our way soon and I am eager waiting for the same, its called Hell O Hello, and the name itself has made me curious.


SYNOPSIS


They say they empower the consumer! They say that Customer is the King! Offers, packages, special discounts they sell him a lot of ‘schemes’!  From a paltry chaiwaala to the owner of a car showroom everybody has a product to sell! Welcome to the hilarious world of ‘Consumerism’.

Competing organizations create all the possible noise to lure a consumer. But in the midst of this all what happens to the voice of an innocent consumer is the essence of this short satire – Hell..O..Hello.

INFORMATION


Hell O Hello is directed by Pratik Rajen Kothari, son of veteran DoP Rajen Kothari, and he has been mentored on this short by legendary film maker Shyam Benegal. The short film is a part of the anthology ‘Shor se Shuruaat’. This anthology presented by Humaramovie is a part of Spotlight Premiere section of Jio MAMI with Star 2016. Shor Se Shuruaat will also release in theatres soon.

The film stars Suchitra Pillai and a bunch of exciting theatre actors including Jay Upadhyay, Abhishek Pandey, Sahitya Sahay, Suyash Joshi, Anand Alkunte and Surya Rao.

The film features a theme song penned by Gulzar and sung by Rekha Bharadwaj. The song has been composed by veteran composer Amod Bhatt.

“31st October” Movie Uncensored Scenes leaked

In the light of the On going PIL filed against the film “31st October” starring Soha Ali Khan and Vir Das over the alleged use of certain political leaders lookalikes making inflammatory statements, a video has surfaced on the Internet that shows the alleged scenes . In a video of about a minute , you can see the lookalikes of two politicians from a political party inciting the crowd to target people of a particular religion and “finish” them.

Film 31st October is based on the aftermath of  Prime Minister Indira Gandhi Assassination and the 1984 Anti Sikh riots that followed which resulted in the loss of thousands of lives. The film was stuck for months in censors and had gotten a clearance to release only after multiple cuts. The PIL against the film was filed on September 28 and was rejected as the petitioner did not approach the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) before moving the court. A few days a later a video started doing rounds on social media with title ” Leaked Scenes of “31st October” Movie exposed Congress hand in 84 Sikh Riots”

Writer Producer Harry Sachdeva claims that this “leak” is a conspiracy to help the petitioner to refile the PIL and to create delay in the release of the film. He has however declined to confirm whether the scenes are a part of “31st October” film.
Incidentally , Same day on Wednesday the PIL was resubmitted to the court. However the petitioner Ajay Katara , who is also the prime witness in the famous Nitish Katara Murder case has denied any involvement in leaking the alleged video. 
 
This year has seen a lot of films being leaked and even though censor board has claimed to have opted for more security measure, the films continue to be leaked at will. Film “31st October” which was scheduled to release on October 7th has already been pushed two weeks to October 21st . The producers havn’t announced any further change in date so far.

‘31st October’ Makers To Donate Part Of Box-Office Collections To 1984 Widow Colony Residents

The makers of upcoming dramatic thriller ‘31st October’ starring Vir Das and Soha Ali Khan, which is based on a Sikh family’s struggle for survival during the 1984 anti-Sikh pogrom, have decided to donate a portion of their box-office collections for a noble cause.

It seems that a part of the collections will be donated to the Widow Colony in Tilak Vihar, Delhi, which provides shelter to thousands of families affected during the 1984 anti-Sikh pogrom in the aftermath of the assassination of the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

The film team had visited Widow Colony while preparing for the film and had spoken to many residents there to get an idea of the situation during the 1984 riots. Needless to say, the incidents that the residents shared with the film team moved them to such an extent that they decided to do something for them.

 

Confirming the same, writer-producer Harry Sachdeva said, “When we visited the Widow Colony for research purposes for our film, we were so emotionally overwhelmed at the plight of the families residing there that we decided to share a part of the revenue collected from the film with them.”

31st October Trailer Grips Social Media

The newly launched “31st October” Trailer has generated quite a buzz on Social Media. Already anticipating a lot of polarizing opinions, the trailer has generated mostly praise and tweeples have identified its theme as surprisingly different and refreshing. Though based on the backdrop of PM Indira Gandhi’s assassination and the horrific Anti Sikh pogrom that followed , the trailer gives out a unique insight into the Film’s human story.

Based on the fateful day of 31 st October 1984, The trailer zips through events of the day & leaves on a cliff hanger on the question of whether the family will survive the ordeal what will happen to them eventually. Already the trailer has received 2 Million hits on Youtube and Facebook with a high percentage of Likes and shares. Both Sikh and Non Sikh community has seemed to give its thumbs up to the Trailer direction & the dialogues which are being constantly termed as Powerful and Gritty. The cinematography has been praised and also the Musical score. All in all it looks like 31st October will give stiff competition at the Box Office on 7th October.
