Posture

To avoid ever having to go under the knife of a spinal surgeon, you need to ensure you are taking proper care of the spine. One of the most important changes that you can make in your everyday life towards this end is to focus on keeping your posture as straight as you can. Most of us have some kind of propensity to slouch, even if it is a small one, so you will find that you want to try and do away with that as best as you can in order to improve your back care. That is equally important sitting and standing, and you might find that it takes a lot of practice to get it right. But it is something that you will find make a huge difference to your life.

Pain

The moment you notice that you are starting to get back pain, you need to immediately address the problem. In most cases, it will just be that you have been exerting it too much in a way which is not doing it any good. Or it might be that you are going to have to think about sleeping in bed differently, perhaps with a pillow under it for the night. Whatever it is, just don’t ignore it – make sure that you are paying close attention to the pain so that you can be absolutely certain you are not doing it further damage. That’s the main thing, and as long as you are sure of that you should find that you are going to be much better off indeed.
